My Philosophy

I believe it is important to create a community where all learners feel safe, respected and have a sense of belonging. It is important to focus equally on the social, emotional and academic needs of students. I strive to meet children where they're at by differentiating instruction, choosing developmentally appropriate activities and providing a balance between teacher-directed and self-directed learning. I value play, the arts, movement, creativity and laughter as important and meaningful parts of the learning process for children.

K-2 Field Day

A huge thank you to everyone for the beautiful book of photos of my students and the very generous gift of money.  The photos are beautiful and I am amazed by how much each student's personality shines through in their photo.  I look forward to doing something very special with the money.

This has been an incredible two years of learning with and about your children for me.  I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to be their teacher for first and second grade.  They have grown tremendously in every way and I am confident they will all be very successful third graders.  Thank you to everyone for all of the support you have provided these past two years.  Most importantly, thank you for trusting me with your children and giving me the opportunity to play a role in their journey through childhood.  They are all so incredibly unique and gifted, I look forward to seeing the amazing things they all have in their futures.

I hope everyone has a terrific summer!
